DEA Special Agent Gerard Deiparine passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
He leaves behind his wife Zarah; his 13-year old daughter, Paige; sisters Brenda & Cecilia; and countless friends and family who will miss him terribly.
Gerard started his law enforcement career with the DEA on March 29, 2009. Upon graduation from the DEA Academy, he was assigned to DEA in Riverside until 2015, when he transferred to the Los Angles Field Division. In 2018, Gerard was transferred to the Asuncion Country Office in Paraguay, and at the time of his passing was in the process of transferring back to the Los Angeles Field Division.
Prior to coming to DEA, Gerard was an engineer. He felt the calling to serve as a DEA agent and began his new career when Paige was a baby. During his time with DEA, Gerard was known for being a dedicated, hard-working agent who had somehow mastered the art of balancing family and work with unparalleled grace.
Gerard loved golf, country music, great wine and food, and spending time with his family. He was a avid fitness guru and loved running and exploring new places.
Gerard was a mentor, a friend, always walked with a smile, and made a positive impact on so many. His unexpected passing will leave an emptiness in the lives of all who knew and loved him, within and outside of DEA.
All funds raised will go to family expenses, Paige's college fund, and the Fisher House Foundation charity.
