In May, my sister-in-law (Rebecca) and brother-in-law (Chris) found out that their sweet baby girl, Geralyn Rose, has a condition called Anencephaly. For those of you who do not know, anencephaly is a neural tube defect that causes the brain to not fully develop and an incomplete skull to form. There is no cure and babies with this condition are often stillborn or only live for a few short hours after delivery. They are stuck in the stage of unknown. Rebecca is currently still feeling her little girl grow and kick inside of her. They have no idea if she will be born any day now or make it to term in October. In addition to losing their baby, they are now facing the financial burden of funeral and burial costs. They want to be able to give Geralyn a proper burial and headstone. Any donations to help provide Geralyn with a proper burial and service, help take the financial burden off the family, and help bring awareness to anencephaly/infant loss would be greatly appreciated.
