Hello, my name is Keianna Byrne, I am 22 years old and for those of you who don’t know me this year has been really hard on my family and I. In late April my father was diagnosed with an aggressive growing cancer known as metastatic carcinoma. Unfortunately, it has grown and spread quicker than any of us could have anticipated. He will be undergoing a massively evasive surgery to remove some of the tumors in his L5 and L6 vertebrae in the hope of stopping neurological issues. My father has always been a hard working man that never hesitates to lend someone a hand, whether it is a shoulder to cry on or something that someone needs fixed. It could be anything from installing a new basement to putting in your wood floors to building you a bed frame or a bird house. Growing up I thought this man put the stars in the sky or make me a staircase to walk to the moon. This situation has been incredibly hard on him and our family. As we all know, times have been tough for everyone. My mother lost her job (as a health aid) at the beginning of the pandemic. Since then she has applied for other work like crazy. She has started a night shift job and is working her butt off, between running my siblings and other family members around to and from our own appointments or work. I am reaching out to friends and family in this rough time to help our family with the expenses of the surgery and other medical visits he may need from here on out. From my brother (Gerald Byrne 4th) my sister (Lacey Byrne) and mother ( Robin Byrne). We truly thank anyone and everyone for any love and support we have already gotten or for those who will continue to give it.
