On October 3rd 2021 my son Gerald Damus Jr. was the victim of a horrible crime. Gerald was shot and has sustained a major injury to his spine. Gerald was living his life as a healthy and happy 20 year old when this tragedy happened to him. He survived his injury and we are so thankful for his life. We are now planning his recovery.
He is going to need intense physical therapy as well as other mental health and rehabilitation services as he transitions his life and heals.
In order for us to bring him home there are things that Gerald will need so that he can be comfortable and safe when he returns home. We intend on using all funds raised to pay for medical equipment and any other support that will be needed.
