Gerald “Charlie” Brocious

On the evening of May 20, 2022 Charlie was driving home from Boulder on 287 just north of Longmont with his cousin(Frank) from Frank’s last eye appointment when suddenly a truck from the southbound side crossed the centerline and hit Charlies car which was going northbound. Charlie sustained severe injuries…including right lower leg open fracture, left hip fracture, right arm fracture, left wrist dislocation, cervical spine fracture(neck), lumbar spine fractures(lower back), rib and sternum fractures.

 

Praise God for his bones doing their job and protecting ALL of his organs and no head injuries!!! He has undergone three different 4 hour long surgeries to fix all of his injuries. If you know Charles well you know how tough he is and how hard he’s willing to work to heal from all these injuries:) Charlie is currently in a level 1 trauma center just south of Denver and will hopefully be transferred to a rehabilitation center later this week.

 

I will try to enter an update daily on here of his progress. What Charlie needs right now is your prayers for healing and words of encouragement.
