Early in 2020, the Plymouth Theatre Company's committee decided that it was time to make major renovations at the Devonport Playhouse during 2021. The difficult decision of closing it to our visiting companies was made so we can have months to make the changes, rather than weeks.

Since the decision, COVID-19 has put a stop to all performances at the theatre which has resulted in a severe loss of income during this time.

Therefore, we are setting up this fund to help us fund the project. The Playhouse has been a much loved theatre in Plymouth for over 30 years and we are very excited to bring this little gem up to date.
