Hi, my name is Alison and I’m fundraising for an ex-college of mine - Georgina. Georgina is a retired NHS nurse (like me) and now works from home. She was recently away doing charity/welfare work with local village people in Ghana, including health education and delivering clothes, books and stationary to village school children. On one of her days off, Georgina was on a day trip to Labardi where she came across this beautiful pup straying on the beach. Georgina immediately fell in love with the pup and she has called her Aida. Aida had either been dumped or was just a street stray but either way she was really struggling to survive on her own. Aida isn’t even a year old and if Georgina hadn’t have found her and taken her to a safe place, she would either have starved to death or been stoned to death as a lot of the locals really don’t like stray dogs and certainly don’t care for them the way we do.
Georgina, being the dog lover that she is (she already has a Frenchie called Moses, who she also rescued ), just could not leave Aida to the likely fate of death by starvation or death by being stoned, so while she was in Ghana, Georgina managed to find a reliable foster carer who she is paying to keep Aida safe until Georgina can somehow raise the money to get Aida safely to the UK to join Georgina and Moses, her Frenchie.
Unfortunately, the cost of bringing Aida from Ghana to the UK is huge - approximately £5000 - which includes all the blood tests, immunisations and documentation and pet passport required, plus the cost of air travel. Unfortunately, Georgina just does not have the means to raise the cost of bringing Aida safely home to the UK, where she will be very well loved, very well cared for and completely spoilt.
Georgina is saving as much as she can and I am helping as much as I can. However, in order to get Aida to the UK and to the perfect home, we need to somehow raise the cost of bringing her here as quickly
as we can.
If anyone can spare even the price of a coffee, we would be so very grateful, and so would Aida. Please, please help get Aida home ❤️
