Georgie’s battle with cancer.

Georgie has to be one of the brightest, strongest and most caring humans on this planet. From day one she has always had a smile on her face and viewed life with ‘a glass half full’ attitude. Georgie was born with CHD and has had 3 open heart surgeries in her life.

Just when we all thought she was finally on the mend and recovering well Georgie started to get very sick again. After almost 6 months of going in and out of hospital and being misdiagnosed she was finally told she had it… Bowel Cancer. At just 30 years of age she already had stage 3 Bowel Cancer and had to be operated on immediately.

This meant that Georgie had to drop everything once again and go in for surgery. But having CHD made things quite difficult for her and slowed her recovery. She spent 24 days in and out of the ICU fighting for life. She lost 17 kilos in that time.

Even though Georgie has been dealt another tough blow she still has a smile on her face and so much optimism about the future.

Her friends and family know how hard it is for Georgie and her wonderful supportive husband to pay for all the medical bills, groceries and rent so we have started a ‘go fund me’ page to help. Please help us make this part of her journey just that little bit easier.
