I am currently in the process of raising funds for a memorial bench for Georgia O’Connor, a dear friend of mine who sadly lost her battle to cancer at the age of 25. Georgia was a true local hero and inspiration to all. Her funeral was held at Ushaw Moor College and we have had permission to place a bench in the garden for her family and friends to visit to remember Georgia and pay respect to her. I want this to be a happy place for people to go and feel connected to her. The bench is £2000 and I’m going round local businesses asking for help to raise the funds in either a donation or a voucher to raise the funds we need,
