Georgia's hospital stay

Update: They have a preliminary diagnosis for Georgia. They are almost certain that she has Hepatitis Associated Aplastic Anemia. She will need immune suppression and possibly a bone marrow transplant. It will be a long road. Thank you to everyone that has already donated!! Your help is so much appreciated and helps Margaret be able to stay in Calgary with her for as long as she needs. Keep sending your love to them!!

Hello! I am raising funds for Margaret to help alleviate some costs associated with her stay in Calgary with Georgia at the Alberta Children's Hospital. For those of you that don't know, Georgia was airlifted to the ACH on Tuesday, May 14th. She had been previously jaundice and was diagnosed with hepatitis but it has proven to be more than that when she started experiencing multiple bruises. Her liver enzymes were spiked and it was discovered that her body wasn't producing red blood cells. She has undergone multiple blood transfusions since and has had a liver biopsy and had to have surgery to extract bone marrow for testing. The doctors suspect she may have a rare form of an auto-immune disease.

She is living every parents worst nightmare right now and I am just trying to help alleviate some of the financial strain. Margaret is unable to work or receive income while in Calgary and she has no timeline of how long she will be there. She is currently awaiting a bed at the Ronald McDonald house but that also comes with some costs. I cannot imagine what it is like to be in her position but every little bit helps and would be very much appreciated!!! I also realize that the economy is in shambles at the moment and if you are unable to help it is completly understandable but if you could spread the word and share this on your socials that would be great!

In spite of all that is going on, Margaret says that Georgia is in great spirits and is staying super strong!
