Hello! My name is Georgia, and I am a rising senior at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. My best friend, Pearl, and I are shooting my thesis film this summer, as well as partially in December, and I am asking for funding to help make this big dream come true! So far, the script, shot list, storyboards, and costume designs are finished; now we just need the funding to turn it into a reality!

Pearl and I started creating films back in 8th grade, and so it was no question to have her as my collaborator for the end of this chapter. Throughout my time as a filmmaker and during my time at Pratt, I've enjoyed finding my own style. I love to create stories and worlds that involve magical, surreal elements, and that always have strong feminist themes.

Here is the synopsis of the thesis film we will be making:

Two sisters enjoy their magical lives together in the middle of the woods. With each of their billowing wings, their solitude is forgotten with the freedom of the sky. Although content with only each other for miles, and miles, and miles, one desire hangs in the air: the desire for children. In order to find a solution to this problem, the two decide to get in contact with their mother, or rather, summon their mother. After performing the ritual, they enter the dark. There, their mother awaits; a shadow in the shadows. At their request, their mother will grant them both immaculate conceptions, but only if they give up their wings.

In order to make this magical world, we will need proper funding.

Here's what we need!

-Super8 film, developing, and scanning: $1,600

-Costuming and props: $450

-Location rental: $300

-Gas: $150

-Catering: $400

-Super8 Camera: $500
