This summer, I’m attempting to swim across the Strait of Georgia without a wetsuit because apparently regular marathon swimming was not inconvenient enough.

The route is roughly 29km in a straight line. Unfortunately, I navigate like a confused Roomba, so realistically it will probably be closer to 40km+.

The crossing will involve 10+ hours in cold Pacific water, currents, jellyfish, escort boats, kayak support, and an increasingly concerning grocery bill.

I’m fundraising to help cover the very glamorous realities of open-water marathon swimming, including support boats, marine safety logistics, kayak support, fuel, and feeding supplies.

It turns out the hardest part of swimming across the Strait is funding all the people responsible for stopping me from dying while doing it.

Any additional funds raised beyond the crossing itself will go toward helping me represent Team Canada at the 2027 World Masters Championships in Budapest.

If you’d like to support the project, encourage the chaos, or help finance this deeply unnecessary amount of swimming, I’d be incredibly grateful!
