Hi, my name is Keitha, and I am trying to raise funds for the funeral costs for my mother Georgia Cowie.
On December 25th, 2025, her birthday, my mother was brought into the emergency room but unfortunately, following all of the efforts of the care staff, she passed on December 26th, 2025. As you can imagine, this has devastated my father and I.
Due to a stroke in 2009, my mother's physical health and memory declined exceptionally with her developing Dementia a few years later. For many years, my father and I provided care at home for her. This alone has taken time, funding, and an emotional toll.
For those that did not know my mother, especially before her stroke, she was a fiercely intelligent and opinionated woman who travelled the world. She was a nurse in multiple countries, a hairdresser, and charity shop owner. She was the kind of person that would give everything of herself to support others with her time, prayers, money, and emotional support. She was the person you would call when the going gets tough. She would be there for you and not ask for anything in return. She loved learning about religions and ensured there were copies of various bible versions, the Qu'Ran, and The Talmud in our home. She was the woman that would rush home to watch soap operas after picking me up from school but would pull the car over when she saw her favorite flowers growing.
For those that don't know me, I tend to tough out life's problems as best as I can solo. I don't usually like asking for help as it feels burdensome. However, we are currently faced with a situation that cannot simply be toughed out. Any donated funds will be used to help offset the remaining costs for the funeral and cemetery that have not been able to be covered.
If you are able to donate even a small amount, it would be so greatly appreciated by my father and I. If that is out of your ability, please feel free to lift us up in prayer and keep us in your thoughts.
