Georgia & Brett for peace of mind
Donation protected
Sometimes the Universe has very strange ways of letting us know how truly blessed we are. And sometimes these blessings come with huge challenges. We are now facing the biggest challenge of our lives.
Brett spent a lovely long New Year's weekend with his love, Georgia, and her girls. It was filled with plans for a happy 2021 and beyond. The first blessing came when a passerby saw him drive off the road and called 911 to report a possible heart attack. Paramedics responded, got Brett to the hospital, his beloved dog to the shelter, and his car towed to safety. The first challenge came when he snapped the ball and socket of his left arm trying to "escape" from the restraints in the ambulance after a seizure. His arm was repaired the next day, but will take a long time to heal.
The next most difficult challenge came the next day, when scans revealed lesions on his brain. His vision on one side has also been compromised. Further exploration points to cancer, but we are waiting for biopsy results. Until then he remains in the hospital healing and getting stronger.
The greatest blessing is the love Brett and Georgia share, and the incredible tribe we have supporting them. The prayers and love we feel are incredible and so appreciated. The challenges ahead are huge, as Georgia goes on leave to care for Brett at home. There will be many expenses beyond insurance coverage before she can return to work. Treatment and therapy will continue for a long time, depending on biopsy results.
If you can donate, please do. If you are a praying person, prayers and good vibes are requested. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
