Georgette and Blue

UPDATE 6:

We have found a good home for Blue, the family decided to keep the name. Blue has a dog pal named Hope and a little girl friend named Georgia! Blue finished her treatment and it’s thriving.

Georgette has a home with us and she is now house trained and pulls less in walks. She was scared of being indoors but now she loves it. She is more gentle with our cats, Momo and nacho. She adores Catalina and has a so much patience for our energetic 2 year old.

The final invoice from SAVES shows as the goal BUT we are grateful with anything you can donate.

Hi my name is Melina, I am raising funds to help pay veterinary bills for a mama german shepherd and her 5 month old pup which is a German shepherd and husky mix.

Georgette aka Georgia was pregnant when she was rescued by my family and friends in May 2023. She had 10 puppies. With the help of friends we successfully found homes for all the puppies, and her, with our own funds and by not selling her puppies. We found a home for Georgette together with one of her puppies.

We checked on them often, helping with trips for vaccinations and spaying.

On September 19 2023 the former owner called me about the dogs. Both dogs are bleeding and she cannot find the wounds. We investigated, and suspected both had gotten into rat poison in a shed in her yard.

Now we know they started bleeding not that Wednesday but the weekend before so around September 16 2023.

Pups stayed at SAVES Center in Fayetteville GA for two days fighting for their lives. SAVES staff were wonderful and we were told both pups received so much love.

When I saw Georgette through the fence, pregnant, in may 2023, I promised her I would not leave her alone, they still need help.
