Hi everyone,
I never imagined having to write something like this, but here we are—asking for help for someone who means the world to us.
Our dear friend Georgette is currently battling an aggressive endometrial stage 4 terminal cancer. Which she was diagnosed with back in October 2023. She is one of those rare people who brings light into every room, who shows up for others without hesitation and who loves deeply and selflessly. Watching someone so full of life face something so heavy has been heartbreaking beyond words.
Georgette has tried a number of conventional treatments that unfortunately have not been successful and has already taken a huge toll on her body physically and emotionally.
As she navigates through this incredibly difficult journey and continues this fight, Georgette has made the courageous decision to pursue specialised treatment options outside our shores.
This decision was not made lightly. Like many facing serious illness, Georgette is exploring every possible option available to her and is doing so with hope, courage and determination.
This path has led her to Mexico, where she hopes to receive care and treatment and gives her the best chance moving forward. These treatments, along with travel, lodging and basic living expenses, are not covered by insurance and come with an overwhelming financial burden.
This choice was not easy. It comes after countless conversations, tears, prayers and moments of fear and hope intertwined. Like anyone facing cancer, Georgette is simply trying to do everything she can to keep going—to live, to heal, to have more time with her three beautiful children, the people she loves and to give back love and support.
We are asking for help so she doesn’t have to carry this weight alone. Donations will help cover:
- Travel to and from Mexico
- Treatment and clinic-related expenses
- Lodging, meals, and daily needs during treatment
- Recovery and follow-up care
Any amount—big or small—means more than we can express. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Georgette in your thoughts and prayers is just as appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and support during this time. It truly means everything to Georgette and her loved ones.
