My name is Nay Lang and I am fundraising for my sister and her husband. This is their story.

In July 2021, Georgette achieved her dream of moving to South Carolina. She packed up and moved after securing a job with a local school district, rented a beautiful apartment, and purchased a brand-new car. She got married in April 2022.

Four months after she was married, she was diagnosed with kidney cancer. The first operation to remove her kidney was unsuccessful. She was sent home to heal. Three months later, the kidney was successfully removed, and she was assured that no other cancer was present, and no further treatment was needed.

Three weeks after that, during a routine scheduled follow-up, they discovered cancer in her liver and lungs and determined that it was likely stage 4 cancer. The oncologist told her that she believed it to be an aggressive type of cancer. The first biopsy was inconclusive. Her doctor felt that she needed another biopsy to decide the type of cancer. The second biopsy was scheduled for two weeks later. In the meantime, she had to stop work due to her inability to function.

A few days later, her husband was feeling ill. He went to urgent care and was diagnosed with COVID. Leaving the facility, he blacked out and had an accident. He was returned to the facility and rushed to the nearest hospital where he was diagnosed with heart disease and kidney failure in need of dialysis. He also had an appendectomy due to appendicitis. He will be released to an inpatient rehabilitation center.

She is currently waiting for the results of the 2nd biopsy and is making plans to move back to New York with her family. Her husband is planning to be transported to a rehab facility near his family.

This couple needs financial assistance. Any help would be appreciated.
