On January 13th I received a phone call that forever changed my life. The symptoms prepared me for what I thought was a stroke, but later determined was a grade 4 glioblastoma. No major warnings, no family history, no preparation for what is to come. By the grace of God, we were able to receive the most amazing care at the University of Miami to remove the brain tumor, but we still have a long road ahead. For the next 6 weeks my dad will undergo both radiation and chemotherapy daily while sitting for a clinical trial- a huge positive! I took a leave from work to ensure he can travel for treatments, scans, hospitals, and appointments.
The medical expenses, transportation costs, bills, etc. are already adding up so no contribution is too small. We ask for prayers for my dad to fight the hardest he ever has. I ask for prayers for our family as we navigate this impossible journey. God gave us a miracle by successfully completing the surgery and we trust he will do it again.
Philippians 4:13- I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
