Struck by Terminal Lung Disease at age 43
Donation protected
Hi Everyone, I’m am trying to raise money to help me survive the financial nightmare that comes with being diagnosed with a terminal interstitial lung disease. Your donations will be used to secure a portable oxygen concentrator, assist with medical copays and debt, help try to find and cover stable housing and other general obligations I have for the near term future.
I’m asking you to contribute whatever you can or nothing at all. Whether it’s 50 cents or $50 dollars it all adds up and helps. Please consider a donation today!
I’ve included some documentation of my health issues so that you can donate in confidence.
- In late 2018 I was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease which is a Terminal Lung Disease that has a prognosis of 3 to 5 years. It’s year three
- In addition to ILD I continue to deal with a host of other ailments including congestive heart failure, diabetes, central sleep apnea and chronic pain syndrome from a failed cervical spinal fusion. Each of these diseases can cost tens of thousand of dollars alone to get care for and I have them all. Now I have Medicare which is a tremendous help but only covers 20% of the cost and carved out a lot of things traditional health insurance covers.
- To add insult to injury I’m also about to become homeless through divorce. No one wants to take in a terminally disabled single man either.
I’m asking you to contribute whatever you can or nothing at all. Whether it’s 50 cents or $50 dollars it all adds up and helps. Please consider a donation today!
