Hi My Name is Anna Bareh. My Sister Veronia and I thought about doing this to help a friend's family. I want to raise funds to help memorial and burial services for one of my friends George! He will never be forgotten. He was just an angel....one day, we had a church trip and that was when he started getting sick with persistent vomiting. I won't forget that day... when we came back, he saw a doctor and then we realized he was at the hospital admitted for brain cancer. That night we were all invited to a birthday party and some of our friends didn't show up because they knew about him being admitted. It was shocking for all of us- we were scared, frustrated, and didn't know how to help. A bright 17 years old young man, just starting his life and thinking of his goals now admitted with a devastating diagnosis of brain cancer. He had a long journey with chemotherapy and radiation.. felt better for a little bit and we were all glad that he is surviving well. Just 6 weeks ago, he had very bad headache, was taken to the hospital, diagnosed with fluid around his brain, cancer growing and no possible way to do anything other than keeping pain away with medication. All his friends were devastated.. praying and hoping he will recover, lots of visitations at the hospital to support him and his family (mother, father and sister).
He was struggling with severe headaches, was told that he will die at just 17 years old, knowing he will die any time, didn't want to close his eyes, scared, not sure what to expect but still hoping and praying for a miracle! We went to visit him at Halloween... that was our last day to see him awake...we had great memories, played together, took pictures and had some fun!
He suddenly deteriorated- we kept asking why doctors are not doing anything... I didn't realize that medicine is limited to what they can do! But God isn't. Still hopeful and praying until Sunday 11/5… our priest announced that he died and arrived to Heaven! Can't describe this moment- lots of tears, scared, lost hope, devastated, not real, different mixed emotions that we still can't overcome. Every one who knows him is devastated.. he was an angel and went back to his place!
George's journey was not an easy one but he fought with incredible strength and determination throughout. All donations will be given to his family to help with the overwhelming costs of his funeral expenses. Please keep his family in your prayers (mother, dad and sister) during this hard time and please keep us all in your prayers. ❤️
