George Pollett Family Donations to Kids and Wife

To know George Pollet, you would know that his greatest love and passion was his kids and soccer. He could be found on the sideline chatting with parents or cheering on his twins who played for our Columbus City SC U12 team. He loved to watch soccer and would the love of the game it was for him and his kids. As the sole financial support for his family, he spent his days working and his leisure days on the side of the pitch supporting his kids. He would do anything to give his kids the opportunity to play as much as possible.

Tragically, our Columbus City SC family lost George on Wednesday March 13, 2024. George Pollett was everything to his family. Not only was he the biggest fan for his twin boys on our U12 team, but his love for soccer and his family. Recently, George traveled Africa and had contracted Malaria. He had not been feeling well, but he pushed through with his responsibilities and taking his twins to their soccer tournament that weekend. He did not feel well all weekend but was there cheering on his two kids. Things began to get worse on Sunday and he was not able to watch the finals game and slept in his car. He became too weak, and his wife Josephine had to drive the family home after the game. Monday, he continued to not feel well and rested the day. By Tuesday he had a high fever, and his wife took him to the hospital where it was determined that he had malaria and they quickly tried to help him recover. Unfortunately, he was unable to recover and passed away on Thursday leaving his wife to take care and support her 3-kids which will be difficult as George was the sole financial supporter for the family.

The Pollett family and his wife Josephine are deeply affected by the loss of her husband, and the Father of their kids. They have an uphill battle in adjusting to life, Josephine not having her husband by her side and the kids not having their Father there at home and on the side of the pitch. To help the Pollett family we are establishing this GoFundMe account to help Josephine and her kids in this extremely difficult time. The funds will be used to help cover medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and cover the remaining costs for the twin’s club fees and travel costs for soccer. Soccer is everything to George and his kids. We know remaining with the team will help their family in this tragic time and help them as they heal from the loss of their Father and greatest fan.
