In honour of the late George Melo and his battle with mental health we have started this foundation to help cover the costs of his memorial.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George Melo on November 1, 2019 at the age of 57. Born August 28, 1962, George was the first son of Dionisio (deceased) and Sofia de Melo of Ottawa, ON. He leaves behind his four siblings: Amelia, Dorothy (Luc), Debbie (Daniel) and Vergil (Ella); three nieces (Sarah, Ashley and Jasmine) and two nephews (Adam and Brandon). He is survived by his son Julian (Lisa), and grandson Joshua, his beloved partner Paulette (Schorlemer) and her daughters Sarah (Dusty) and Natalie.
George will be remembered by many, for his ingenious mind, his talent as an exceptional designer and musician but most of all, for his remarkable sense of humour.
Following a private ceremony, the family will host a gathering of friends on Friday, November 15th between 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Racine, Robert & Gauthier’s Funeral Home located at 180 Montreal Road in Vanier.
Anything helps us in this time of need, please share & thank you to all of the people who have already reached out to our family xo
