George Mellon fighting MND
In January 2021 a good friend and colleague George Melling was diagnosed with an absolutely devastating condition of Motor Neuron Disease (MND); this is a rare condition that damages the brain and nerves and has debilitating affects on the body.
I have known George for over 12 years, he was a great sports person and played semi pro for a number of northwest clubs. His work career was as a steel erector were I have so many good memories of his lively personality and his hard work ecthic.
Currently there is no cure for MND, but scientist are working hard towards a cure and are having promising breakthroughs with treatments.
I am currently training for the up coming London marathon on the 3rd October 2021,the company Rayner Rowen has shown a lot of support for my training, as fitting in work and training is difficult but the companies support has been immense, It is sometimes lonely and hard work but nothing what George and his family are currently going through. I am running for George and his family to improve their quality of life, help them make magical experiences and lasting memories as a family.
I would really appreciate your support and we would be immensely grateful for any donations made to this cause.
If you can't donate we would be really grateful if you could please share the link to this fundraiser to raise awareness.
