Hey there!
I am asking for a little help for my dad, George McVey, and his most recent battle with lung cancer.
My dad ended his Fire career in spring of 2018 and shortly there after in the summer of 2018 he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. It was late stage and for a while the options didn't look or sound very good. He was lucky and had a great group of doctors working with him, and after months of chemo, radiation and a surgery in January of 2019 he beat his cancer.
He has been very humble through this experience and incredibly thankful for the gift of continuing on in life. Unfortunately, this past October of 2020 he was diagnosed with Lung cancer. At first look, it appeared to be a small manageable tumor, but when they went in it proved to be much larger than they had anticipated. They went in for a second procedure and removed the upper left lobe of his lung.
He is very positive but still has a long road ahead of him, and with treatments every 3 weeks and the expenses are becoming a little overwhelming.
Every little bit helps and if you're not able to, no worries a call or a text would help out a bunch as well!
Thanks in advance,
Jason McVey
