Raise £21,000 to Support George's Rehab
Donation protected
At the beginning of February, our good friend George Lutwyche was involved in a serious incident that led to severe injuries.
He sustained a fractured right femur, as well as crushing injuries to his lower left leg, sadly resulting in a below-the-knee amputation.
George has been in a London hospital for over a month and hopes to be transferred to the QE in Birmingham in the next couple of weeks to continue his recovery.
Those of you that know George will know he is a huge personality and that he will give everything he has to the long rehab journey ahead of him.
A big group of us are going to be running the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 4th May, to raise money to support his rehab and for him to put towards a running prosthetic in the future.
George himself completed the Birmingham Half Marathon just last year, and whilst we only have eight weeks to prepare, it feels like a fitting way to show our support, so please donate if you can!
If anyone would like to join us in running the half marathon, just let us know and we can get you involved.
Most of us haven't ran since our school days and are just hoping to cross the finish line!
Many thanks,
Georges friends
