George Lawton's Family
Donation protected
My name is Miles Pinsent. I have set up this GoFundMe page to support the young family of a former varsity player of mine, George Lawton.
Recently George's wife, Charli, was diagnosed with a rare disorder called Von Hippel-Lindau Syndrome. This disorder is characterized by the formation of fast growing tumours called hemangioblastomas. These growths can cause serious health complications as they often grow in the brain, spinal cord, eyes, kidneys, and pancreas.
Charli underwent surgery 18 months ago to remove tumours from her brain. With great bravery and determination, she worked hard in her physical therapy to recover. She recently developed symptoms again and just last week had to have another surgery, this time to remove tumours from her spinal cord. The effects of this surgery have left Charli unable to work and needing more therapy.
Von Hippel-Lindau Syndrome is an inherited disorder. Testing has revealed that George and Charli's two year-old daughter, Seali, also has this disease.
Anyone who knows George understands what a passionate and proud person he is. He is diligently working to do all he can to support his wife and daughter.
They can use our help.
I have set a modest target of $5000 as I want each of you to appreciate that any contribution will make a difference for this family. I hope that all of our high-achieving attitudes enable us to find ways to exceed this goal.
Thank you for supporting George, Charli, and Seali.
