George Klimov Scholarship Fund

Dimitri Klimov, George's father, was killed by police in his house in Philadelphia on May 31st of 2023. It was another outrageous act of police violence, with even more outrageous attempt of a cover-up and destroying the evidence. The family lost a father, a son, a brother and a husband. We are heartbroken.

George was born while Dimitri and Tatiana were both in high school. He is a grandson of two MIPT Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) graduates, Olga Amosova (FMHF, 1984) , and Alex Klimov (FMHF, 1982 - deceased, 1997), and a great-grandson of Dmitry M. Klimov, long-time director of Institute for Problems in Mechanics.

George has developed into an exceptional and brilliant student, accomplished beyond his years. He has inherited mental acumen from his father, and drive and dedication from his mother. At 18, he is already a Senior at Penn State University, and will graduate before his 20th birthday with a Bachelor's degree in Physics, and plans to continue on to graduate school. George has a bright future, and right now we need help to make it happen.
