This fundraiser will help establish the George James Boehmler Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will benefit students from George’s alma mater of San Marcos High School. During his time at SMHS, George played baseball and football, ran cross-country, was a member of the academic league team, and participated in the rocketry team. After graduating, George continued to support the rocketry team as a mentor while studying physics at CSU San Marcos. Your donations to this scholarship will help honor his memory and lifelong passion for learning.

 

George is remembered for his unwavering kindness, never-ending curiosity, and wonder of the universe. He was passionate about physics, mathematics, astronomy, baseball, music, and enjoying foods of his multi-cultural background. The only things he loved more than science were his family, friends, and dog Shadow.
