George J. Reuter in Operation Tidalwave
Donation protected
Recently the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, contacted the eldest living relative of First Lieutenant George J. Reuter in reference to finally bringing him home to lay him to rest with his Family. 1st Lt. Reuter was the navigator on the B-24 Hell's Wench during the battle over the planned distruction of Hitler's oil fields in Ploiesti, Romania. Encountering significant resistance, his remains were not identified after the mission. Later the Romania government had reported it had recovered and buried many Americans from this raid. One of which was the relative of the eldest living relative, Evelyn E. Moore daughter of the sister (Evelyn J. Reuter Drummond) of George J. Reuter affectionately known to family as Uncle Bud.
The memorial services will be held at Sunset Memorial Cemetary in North Olmstead Ohio, July 29th
The money recieved here will help in allowing living family members to be present at his memorial and in also adding to the gravestone where he will be laid to rest.
Thank you for any support you could give.
