George Ekhoff, long-time co-owner with his wife Karen of Tribune’s beloved eatery Karen’s Kitchen, had a stroke in July. He had been transferred to a rehabilitation center and all had hoped he would be home soon and on the mend. Unfortunately, he is facing a setback and currently in the hospital in Denver with internal bleeding and severe esophagitis.

Karen is at his side. The couple has a long road ahead of additional testing and likely, a lengthy hospital stay.
