George Duff Broda Chair
Donation protected
My name is Pauline, and I’m fundraising for my friend and co-worker, Mr. George Duff.
George is kind, funny, hard-working, the go-to expert at many things —- and everyone’s favourite co-worker at CanNorth. I think of George as a special and lovable grandpa.
George is a sports fan, even though some would question his choice of favourite teams! He’s a great secret keeper - or so he keeps telling us! You won’t find a better listener than George. And he’s someone you can always count on. Some of my favourite George moments are when he delivers sage advice with a few perfect expletives thrown in for emphasis!
George landed in the hospital in September and spent several weeks there. The good news is he’s being transferred from Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon to a small rural hospital for ongoing treatment and will soon be able to return home to continue his recovery there. However, George still has a long road to recovery. And he needs our help.
George uses a wheelchair and to aid in his recovery, he will need a new "Broda" wheelchair. That vital piece of equipment will help relieve the pressure points on his body, prevent pressure sores and make him more comfortable - promoting a faster recovery.
Broda wheelchairs can retail for up to $15,000, but his thrifty spouse Maureen found a Broda wheelchair at a much lower cost.
The money from this fundraiser will go toward purchasing the chair and gas money for his upcoming medical appointments.
Please consider pitching in to help George in his recovery so Maureen, his children, grandchildren and coworkers can get their lovable George back to his usual healthy and happy self!
