My name is Jamie Taylor-Fillinger, I am a pastor at Valley Community Church in Weldon , NC. George Cesil, his wife Janice and their two children, Meagan and George II served at Valley for many years. George was a good friend who was loved by many.
He was a dedicated father and husband who loved God, family, country, and serving people. He worked as a lineman serving his community and risking his life to restore power to hard hit areas that were damaged by storms. He loved his job and his fellow linemen, worked hard and lived life to the fullest. George was killed, along with two other men, by a man driving under the influence and without a license. As the three men were doing a safety check of their completed work they were struck by a reckless driver who had lost control of his vehicle, killed all three men. Thanks to Lee Electrical Construction, expenses for the travel and funeral costs have been taken care of for the Cesil Family! They ask first and foremost for prayers, if you feel the need and wish to donate to this family it will be received with the greatest amount of appreciation and love.
