George and Fiona’s London Marathon 2026

Donation protected
Hi, we’re George and Fiona — and in April 2026 we’re proud (and a little terrified!) to be taking on the London Marathon in support of a cause that couldn’t be closer to our hearts – Action for Children.

We’re running the London Marathon to raise £5,000 for Action for Children — a charity that’s changed lives, including our own.

For me, this is especially close to home. As a teenager, I was supported by Action for Children when I became a pupil at Headlands School in Penarth. With the support of Headlands, I gained confidence and began to thrive.

Years later, I was lucky enough to return back to headlands as a member of staff. That opportunity gave me the chance to give back and support other young people who face similar challenges to the ones I experienced.

When Fiona and I talked about ways we could support the charity and show our appreciation, running the marathon felt like the perfect way to do something meaningful together.

This is definitely the biggest physical challenge we’ve ever taken on, but we’re training side by side and keeping each other going through every step. Most importantly, we’re doing it to raise vital funds so that Action for Children can continue supporting vulnerable children and young people across the UK.

Our goal is to raise £5,000, and we’d be incredibly grateful for any donation you’re able to give — whether it’s £5 or £50. Every penny will go towards helping children thrive in safe, supportive environments.

Thanks so much for reading, and for being part of this journey with us.
