It is with profound sadness that we share our beloved mother, Lillian Green, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2020. Our Lilly had been a resident at Southland Rehabilitation Clinic for the past three years, where we like to think she was a staff favorite. Our family cannot begin to thank the countless heroes of Southland for the manner in which they loved, nurtured and so compassionately cared for our mother.
In an effort to express our gratitude and in lieu of flowers, the family is asking that all donations be made to Southland through the Lillian Green Memorial Fund. Contributions will be used to support the loving community at Southland who were such a blessing and comfort to our family during Lilly's final years. First, by establishing a vegetable garden to provide fresh produce and outdoor activities for both the residents and caregivers. We are hopeful this garden and will spread joy around the facility, much like Lilly did when moseying around the halls. Donations will also be used as a relief fund, dedicated to meeting the unexpected needs of Southland's compassionate healthcare providers. We truly believe Lilly would want to help these heroes in any way she could, and we look forward to working with Southland on these projects.
Given the current climate, memorial services will be announced at a later date. On behalf of the family, thank you to everyone for your compassionate thoughts and prayers.
