CATWEAZLE/GEOFFREY BAYLDON BIG EVENT

Dear fellow Catweazle and Geoffrey Bayldon admirers, The Catweazle Fan Club were in the process of preparing for a big weekend event in 2020 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first showing of Catweazle. This event was going to be for members only. However, we have seen such an out pouring of love and affection for the series and the man himself that we have decided to try and make this a much bigger event and allow everybody to have the chance to come and celebrate and keep all the cast especially Geoffrey's legacy going.

To this end we will have to increase our budget enormously for this and this is the only way we can think of reaching the appropriate and committed fans and admirers and raising the money to fund such a project.

THE PROPOSAL would be to have a celebratory and memorial weekend event in the summer of 2020. The  Saturday would be a fun filled medieval day with events and stalls and memorabilia and merchandise plus some arena events. Maybe a Saxon V Normans (boo) enactment. This represents Catweazle in his own time. Then on the Sunday we will have a 70's day to represent his time when he was with us. There would be displays, music, retro gear 70's band etc. There would also be a part dedicated to the stars of this wonderful series, now sadly all departed from this life BUT with us in every other conceivable way!

THE PROMISE is that all donators will be invited to apply for a ticket in the order they donated for a reduced ticket price. After that we will sell tickets for other members of the public if we have enough tickets after this.

We also promise that if we do not succeed in achieving our aims and that we do not raise enough funds to carry it out, we WILL refund your donation to you if you have left us contact details. In our earlier preparations at club level, we had a proposal to film it to make a Catweazle Documentary. This has not been set in stone - but if there are any companies out there that would like to sponsor us in this you would be most welcomed and we would be happy to advertise your company with a personal medieval Ganfalon (flag/banner) around the arena. Please contact Carol Barnes or Sue Duce and we  will be happy to discuss it with you.

So to all brothers and sisters in magic, help make this happen, make Catweazle return again to us where we can share our memories and have some fun with Catweazle.
