Hi, my name is Mandy and I am fundraising for a funeral/memorial service for Geoff Andrews, who was Uncle to my husband and brother to my mother-in-law. As a family, we are still trying to come to terms with the loss and are, unfortunately, unable to come up with the funds to cover the full cost of his service. We know that many people in Minehead, Dunster and Watchet encountered Geoff and were very fond of him. He had a charm that people warmed to and managed to cheer people up, make people feel safe and just generally brightened up the day of anyone he spoke to. I know that we originally declined offers of help, as we thought we could manage, but the costs are higher than we expected.

Any donations will be gratefully received.

We are hoping to have a service in Minehead, due to the response from locals whose lives he touched, with anyone who would like to pay respects being welcome to attend. We have been overwhelmed with all the amazing, kind comments we have read from the community he lived in. He clearly was one of a kind and with your help, we would love to give him a special day that he truly deserved.

We would also love to have a wake somewhere local where people could bring food and share stories and if the fundraising exceeds the cost of the service, any excess funds will be put towards a memorial bench or plaque.
