This GoFundMe is being initiated for our dear friend Jared and his one-of-kind cat Pat. Jared adopted Pat as an adult cat in 2017, and has never lived alone without his furry brooding-eyed roommate. Pat was cuddly from the start, and immediately climbed on Jared’s chest to nestle, wasting no time in taking advantage of warmth, companionship, and Jared’s instant love. Incredibly affectionate, he loves to groom Jared, nuzzling and licking his hair and trying his best to lick his face despite never being allowed to. Though Jared is the person Pat prefers above all, he is the friendliest cat you’ll ever meet, sharing with almost everyone his attention and the thing that makes him a truly special cat. To meet Pat is to love him.

Now, the time has come for Jared to face the difficult reality of saying goodbye to his beloved friend. Pat’s health is declining, and it’s important to Jared that Pat’s final moments are filled with peace, love, and dignity. This fundraiser is to help Jared schedule Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, ensuring that Pat’s farewell is as gentle and caring as the life they have shared together. The funds raised will go directly toward veterinary hospice and aftercare, allowing Jared to focus on cherishing these last moments with Pat and beginning the healing process.
