I’ve been honored with an acceptance to the Education Policy Fellowship Program through the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education.
I applied to programs that would help me grow and learn more about education policy and myself. The Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) is a national professional development program sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) that provides potential leaders with the knowledge and networks to advance the core issues of education policy. This phenomenal program will help me as I transition into the field of education. I have received a partial scholarship but need additional support and hope you can help!
Since studying education policy reform at UChicago, working in Chicago Public Schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools and travelling the state of Georgia to do town hall meetings focused on education, I have a passion for this field. I hope to be able to work for a school system in helping to change the culture to help all of our students and their families succeed.
It is an initiative of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and is co-sponsored by the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University and the Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach at the University of Georgia.
I am very excited to start this journey! I hope that you would consider supporting this effort. Every little bit helps and I would appreciate any contribution you feel comfortable to give.
