The Knot Collective
The Knot
The Knot is a Collective of artists working to build a community of creators and collaborators to tell each other's stories. Formerly called Genny Productions, we devise and produce new original works, as well as published pieces such as Rajiv Joseph's "Gruesome Playground Injuries." We seek to find and explore radical honesty and truly authentic relationships between real people.
We've recently launched a series of regular reading nights where we give writers and directors opportunities to explore works in progress with actors and an audience. This process empowers writers and directors to receive constructive and thoughtful feedback from other creatives.
Why We Need Your Help
It takes a village to put on any piece of theatre. No matter how many actors you see on stage, there is an army of people working behind the scenes to make it all happen.
Furthermore, there are many costs associated with any sort of production from a small reading series to a fully produced piece of work. Housing needs to be taken care of. Lights need to be on. Rights need to be purchased. And overall, the highest quality production needs to be presented. To do that, we need your help.
Your donation would not only support young artists like us, but also work towards strengthening the performing arts in the tri-state area, in addition to the community as a whole.
We will be announcing our newest production this Summer so be on the lookout for that, and many more updates.
