Genna, mother of 2, diagnosed with Terminal Cancer

Dear Family and Friends,

As some of you are aware my sister's cancer is back. We are told it is terminal. Genna is only 43. All the doctors can do now and is to try and slow its progression and make the process as painless as possible.

To quote J.R.R. Tolkein "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us" and I have decided to run the Munich marathon in October as a fund-raising initiative to help my sister realise a few of her dreams together with her two children Elisha and Luke.

I am not built for long-distance running so 42 km is a "heavy" challenge for me, especially in a city famous for its beer! I will not be alone though, my brother-in-law, Edward, who lives in Munich, will be running alongside me making sure I do not deviate from the path!

From our side we have 16 weeks to become marathon runners, 16 weeks that mean the wold to my sister Genna, so let's do this and make the time count!

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for anything, however little, you can spare towards our cause.
