Genito C. Basilio II's Medical Bill

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Dianne and I am from Seattle, Washington. This is for my cousin in the Philippines who is a year older than me who is about to graduate but due to a medical condition, he can't. These funds will help him with medical expenses because in the Philippines, good health care is hard to obtain. I will be sending all your donations to my uncle, anything is appeciated.

COPIED ON BEHALF OF MY UNCLE (facebook) ...

In all humility, I am writing this as a father who would do anything just to save his son.

My son, Genito C. Basilio II, 20 years old, a graduating architecture student of Saint Mary's University, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, has been admitted to the Nueva Vizcaya Veteran's Regional Hospital last August 13, 2017 due to seizures following a 3 day fever. CT scan results indicated an impression of Central Nervous System Infection and suggesting a diagnosis of Japanese Encephalitis. Seeing no improvement on his condition, the attending physician decided to have him transferred to Manila last August 15. We first went to Philippine General Hospital. Unfortunately, we were not accommodated there because the ICU is fully booked including the rooms at the payward. We then went to Saint Luke's Quezon City. We were advised to prepare an approximate amount of 3 to 5 million pesos for his treatment. Such amount might even increase depending on the length of treatment period. Heeding to the advise of a provincemate doctor, we transferred our son to East Avenue Medical Center. However, the situation at the ER of EAMC is very depressing like PGH. There is also a long queue of patients waiting to be admitted at ICU. Seeing the situation at EAMC where the beds of patients are just a foot apart, where my son's condition might be complicated and jeopardized being exposed to different illnesses, I asked the resident doctor if she could help me find a hospital where an ICU room would be available. Unfortunately all hospitals that we called up doesn't have an available ICU room, except Makati Medical Center. Despite understanding that the cost of treatment at Makati Med is almost similar to Saint Lukes, I have decided to bring my son there, as time is of the essence already.

It is for this reason that I am humbly requesting for prayers and financial assistance from your good end to help alleviate our financial burden. I will not be ashamed to beg on bended knees imploring for help for my son who earnestly desires to march for graduation and receive his diploma in architecture.
