Hi, My name is Angelica Quinonez. Our beautiful grandma was tragically taken from us on Friday, June 23, but she joined her Mom and siblings on Sunday, June 25. She was the matriarch of our family – the sole survivor of 11 siblings from El Paso, TX. She is leaving behind 5 children, 9 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, along with countless other family members, friends and loved ones.
My Grandma was a fighter and had a lot of life left in her. She fought Covid, breast cancer and taught me to be independent (and a little stubborn). She was TRULY the “Life of the Party” and didn’t let anyone tell her how to live. She absolutely loved to dance – any kind of music – she heard music, and her toes were tapping. What I really learned from her was to live life to the fullest. She lived her life all the way through to the end.
She was our crazy, fun Grandma, who loved her family more than anything else in the world … well, maybe a little less than the Cowboys and her tequila. One of my favorite memories of her was when we were teaching my son (Cristian) how to ride a bike and he was tipping over and in mid-conversation she began screaming because he was about to fall. She loved all her grandchildren – but loved her grandsons above all (and didn’t let us forget it). And, now, because of the cowardly driver who struck my Grandma, we have to wait for the coroner to release her body before we can lay her to rest. Please help our family begin the mourning process ... if anyone knows any info about the hit & run that took place on 6/23/23 at Somerset & Bellflower, please reach out to Det. Stoker (562) [phone redacted]
