Genevieve & D.O.G. - Medical Alert Service Dog

I would like to introduce you to 11 year old Genevieve and her soon-to-be medical alert service pup, D. O. G.  Yes, it's pronounced Dee-oh-gee!

Genevieve is an amazing girl living in Southern California. She is autistic and verbal communication is difficult for her. This past year she has developed debilitating migraines in both her head and her abdomen. She and her mother, Monique, have spent many days and nights in the hospital. The doctors have given many tests and treatments trying to find both the cause and what will offer Genevieve  some relief for the pain she experiences. So far it seems the best plan is to try to keep the migraines from developing but this is difficult because Genevieve cannot communicate she's in pain until it's debilitating.

This is where D. O. G. comes in to help! D. O. G. is gearing up for training to become a medical alert service dog, one that can sense a migraine in the works, days before Genevieve would even feel it. Sounds AMAZING, right? It really is, and it will be life-changing for, not only Genevieve, but also her mother and little brother. D. O. G. will will begin training very soon, but as you can imaging this type of very specialized training is costly (google it, it's crazy expensive). Monique is fully committed to helping Genevieve and D.O.G. become a super star team. I'm hoping our community of friends, family, and strangers, can come together to offset some of the financial cost so Genevieve, D.O.G, and Monique can fully focus on the intense training to come. 

After much research, the perfect trainers have been found for D.O.G. Karma Dog Training, here in Los Angeles, is going to help D.O.G. be the dog he needs to be, as both a companion and a medical alert service dog, to allow Genevieve to live a full, happy life!
