Help Geneva Fain and Her Daughters Through a Health Crisis
We’re reaching out on behalf of Geneva Fain, a devoted mother, lifelong animal trainer, and the heart behind K9 Pro, a respected dog training facility that has helped countless dogs and owners over the past 20 years.
Geneva is not only a single mother of two incredible teenage daughters, ages 15 and 16, but also a passionate professional who has dedicated her life to the training, rehabilitation, and success of dogs from all walks of life. From obedience and corrective behavior to advanced sports like agility, barn hunt, fast cat, dock diving, and protection work, Geneva does it all—with excellence and heart.
She owns, shows, and breeds Papillons, working-line German Shepherds, and working-line Belgian Malinois, and is even training a Service Pony for a client with mobility issues—just one example of how far Geneva goes to help people and animals alike.
A Sudden and Serious Illness
In February 2025, Geneva began experiencing what seemed like a mild cold, which quickly worsened. After several urgent care visits, she was diagnosed with pneumonia in her lower left lung. Despite medication, her condition deteriorated. It was later discovered that the pneumonia had spread to both lungs, leaving her struggling to breathe and battling fatigue and other complications.
On April 23, 2025, Geneva was admitted to the hospital due to dangerously low oxygen levels. She is currently receiving treatment and will be unable to work while she recovers and is now in ICU.
Why We're Asking for Help
As a small business owner and single parent, Geneva chose to prioritize health insurance for her daughters—leaving her without coverage for herself. Now, her daughters are doing everything they can to care for their mother, their home, and the animals in her absence. But they need our support.
We’re asking our friends, family, fellow dog trainers, past and present clients, and community members to come together to help Geneva and her girls during this difficult time.
What the Funds Will Support
Medical expenses for Geneva’s ongoing treatment and recovery
Household expenses, including utilities and groceries
Animal care and kennel maintenance at K9 Pro
Support for her daughters, who are balancing school, work, and their mother's care
Geneva has spent her life giving to others—training their animals, supporting families, and building a better world for dogs and their people. Now, it's our turn to give back to her.
Please donate what you can. Every dollar helps. And if you can’t give, sharing this campaign means the world to us.
