Join Gene Grigg's Road to Recovery

Recently, our family faced a tragic accident. Gene Grigg; husband, father, grandfather and country western dancer, was working to repair his leaky roof after a heavy rain.  On his way down, he missed the ladder and fell eight feet and landed on his head. The impact has left  him with a traumatic brain injury and visual impairment.  He has been fighting several infections as well.  He spent five weeks in the ICU and then PCU and now has been released to a rehabilitation facility.   The facility is working diligently to re-train Gene in every aspect from feeding himself, to brushing his teeth, to sitting in a wheelchair, as well as extensive cognitive therapy.  He and his wife, Karen, have insurance that covered the medical bills, however, the insurance only covers 20 days of rehabilitation.  Gene will need several months of rehab with the hopes that he will be able to once again walk and care for himself.  

Please join us in supporting Gene’s recovery.  Many have asked us how they can help. Karen and Gene need financial support to keep him in the facility.  After the insurance runs out on March 29th, the daily cost for Gene to be in this full care facility is $170 a day.  They are anticipating several months will be needed.
