Hi, My name is Angela, Gene's oldest living daughter. I am raising these funds to help with my dad's burial, memorial services and also to help relocate the 3 teenage children he left behind when he passed.
Gene was a father of 6 children and had 2 grandsons. He was also a husband, brother, friend, veteran, mentor, and a huge Stevie Wonder fan!
He was born in Houston Texas, raised in East Palo Alto, CA but spent the last few decades of his life in Tacoma Washington. He was a mentor and inspiration to those that knew his personal story and how he shared his almost 30 year sobriety story and all while raising three small children, an older son with special needs and at times a grandson from California. Gene was also a veteran who served as a pilot in the Air Force.
Although Gene was sick before he passed his death was sudden. He seemed to be getting better and even had plans to visit his home state, Texas. He never made it.
Gene's family is asking those that knew and loved Gene and his children to help with the burial, memorial service and to relocate his three teenage children so they can be in the company of family but also so that they have less to worry about as Gene was their only living parent.
Thank you for whatever you give because everything helps.
For those in the Washington area or plan to be, here is the information for the services:
