Give 65 Generators to Caritas Ukraine

Hi, my name is Aaron. My wife Merle and I are sending 65 generators to Ukraine to help the civilian population. Seeing the relentless attacks on civilian power infrastructure there made me want to do something to help. My family has hosted two refugee families since the war began and we have never met such generous and positive people as the Ukrainian guests we have had share our home. We decided to use our savings to buy as many generators in China as we could afford. A family friend of ours, Wenhan, is familiar with various Chinese suppliers and gave hours of his time sourcing the best generators and organising shipping from China to Poland. After research and asking refugee friends of ours it was decided that a combination of 2.8kw standard generators (FOB unit price $133.00) and 1.8kw silent portable generators (FOB unit price $189.00) would be purchased. We bought 35 of the former and 30 of the latter. Specs are attached for your info.

I reached out to a number of charities and individuals to help distribute the generators in Ukraine. Finally Caritas Ukraine came through and have been amazing help. We will need to ship the generators overland from Gdansk to the main Caritas warehouse at Khmelnytskyi. As they cannot pay for the shipping I have included the shipping in the target fundraising which also includes shipping costs to Poland.
