Generator for Ava

Ava was born with Spinal Muscular Atropy type 1 (or SMA for short).  It causes severe muscle weakness and because of it Ava cannot hold her head up, sit up, crawl, or walk. She cannont breathe on her own so she is ventilator dependent and she cannot eat by mouth because she lost her swallow so she has a feeding tube. 

I'm now realizing that during the event of a storm having a generator attached to our home would be crucial in Ava's survival.  She uses a lot of life saving medical equipment that requires power including her ventilator, pulse ox, The Vest machine, Cough Assist, nebulizer, oxgen concentrator, and her feeding pump.  All of these items are used every day and without power it could be devestating for Ava. 

We live on the Gulf coast and are at constant risk of being in the path of bad storms.  We have a very small generator but having to set it up during the middle of a storm and then run a very long extension cord through the house to Ava's room isn't easy.  Also running the risk of Carbon Monoxide poisoning is scary to me. Several people got sick during the recent storms from it. 

I normally not a fan of asking people for money, but I decided to set this page up to try to get a generator as quick as possible for our home. Since I'm not working and we're on a tight budget I'm hoping that people will be willing to donate to help us get one. I would be grateful for all that helps us!! Thank you everyone!
