Generator for Abuela's House
Donation protected
As you probably know, my mom is from Puerto Rico. Hurricane Maria has devastated the island and 3.5 million Puerto Ricans (Americans), including my Abuela, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are without power for 4-6 months!
Cell towers are down and there is no electricity, so we have not been able to communicate with family, but we have heard through the grapevine that my Abuela (grandma) has lost her roof :(
My second cousin owns a transport company in Florida and has taken it upon himself to organize shipping a container to Puerto Rico to send necessities (generators, food, water, etc.) to family and friends.
I'd like to send a generator on the to my abuela's house in this shipment, as the island will not have electricity for 4-6 months. Generators cost between $2,500-$4,500 and about $500-$1,000 to install.
