Hi Friends,
For the past twenty years, I have been involved in the local church as a worship pastor, counselor, tech guy, and teaching pastor. It's been exactly one year since my wife Jennifer and I began to sense a stirring in our spirit. We didn't know exactly what God had in mind for us but we began to pray that His will would unfold.
In December of 2020, Jennifer & I parted ways with Cedar Valley Church here in my hometown of Waterloo, Iowa. It has become clear that God has called us to plant a church here in the Cedar Valley. After much prayer and counsel, we are in the process of planting GENERATIONS CHURCH. "Reaching every generation with the gospel of Christ."
Many churches have a vision and mission focused on a specific age range and target generation. Generations Church will focus on reaching every generation. Why? Because every generation has value! Every generation has a purpose! Every generation has something to offer the kingdom! Every generation needs encouragement and sound doctrinal teaching.
We will have a three-fold purpose.
REACH UP
We will work hard to provide an exciting and God-honoring environment for worship. When we worship God, we express our love and devotion to Him. What an honor it is to humbly come before the Creator of the Universe. All of us are wired for worship, and the only way we can express true love to God and worship Him is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
REACH OUT
At Generations Church we will strive to reach out to people who are outside the family of God. Every day, we rub shoulders with people who are just an invite away from a life-changing encounter with Christ. Invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to attend Generations so they will hear and understand what it means to be a follower of Christ.
REACH IN
We will exist to help you, as a Christ-follower, grow in your spiritual maturity and become a mature follower of Christ. Because the Christian life is one of constant growth and development, we are focused on providing biblical principles that can be applied to everyday life no matter where you are in your journey of faith. We want to help you move from a spectator in the stands to the game of active service.
God is calling us to a GOD SIZE task and to do it we need God's people to come together and help us accomplish something that will outlive us and last for all eternity.
We ask that you prayerfully consider helping us. Our goal is to launch in our leased space in Easter 2021. Will you help us reach every generation for Christ?
